Somniphobia yet again proves itself as an upgrade to the fazbear frights in almost every way possible. With each of these stories taking place in the Pizza Plex this time, these stories have never felt so connected. It makes each of these stories feel more worth reading as we uncover the early days of the pizza plex and what it was like The first story, Somniphobia, finds great success in its characterization of Sam. While he's another typical frights protagonist who has had some tragic event happen in the past on the surface, this story really goes to showcase how this event impacted him. His personal life is directly tied to the predicament he finds himself in, which makes it feel more important to read. The main mcguffin of the story although feeling a bit familiar to a story earlier in the book, takes a completely different direction and goes over completely different themes. The ending was something I didn't expect at all, and was very bittersweet. An 8/10 overall The second story, Pressure, is probably in my top 5 frights/tales stories ever. This story gives such a clear perspective on the view people have on fazbear entertainment and its history by the time of the pizzaplex, it's SUPER intriguing. It ties in heavily with the lore of these games and brings back a plot point which I didn't expect. How this ties into the games fully I'm not sure, but it 110% does in some way. The "springtrap cosplay" plot described on the back of thr book while predictable, went in a direction I did not see coming. This story will make fans happy, it's probably the most fnafy story in the series. I'm shocked how invested I was in Luca's journey, and what a journey it was. This story wastes NO time with boring exposition that we've already seen before. It's fast paced, it's super fnafy, it's emotional, scary, it's brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. It was also really funny reading this right after watching the newest game theory. You'll see what I mean when you read it ???? Absolutely a 10/10. Rivals B-7 and Frailty as the best Tales story for sure. The last story, cleithrophobia, I liked the more I read. At first is started off VERY interesting, there was a lot of world building that feels incredibly connected to the fnaf universe, and then I thought it went a bit stereotypical with its plot. But then the story does something I did not expect it to do. I expected it to drag out similar to how happs did, but it doesn't, and we get one of the best endings in all of the frights/tales in my opinion. This story gives a really good view on what it's like to be a fazbear entertainment employee. I adore it so much. 9/10. The epilogue is cool, but I've yet to really care about all of these characters. The frights epilogues were great because they had two main protagonists with Jake and Larson, but these epilogues have so many, which seems to be intentional as the setting for all these epilogues has been the same. It's BRUTAL, I will say that. It still shocks me how brutal it is compared to security breach. I hope we get something really big in the next epilogue though, because these are starting to feel repetitive. 7/10 The book overall gets a 9/10. Best Tales book easily, and one of the best fnaf books in general. It's very fnafy and doesn't bore you with some random Kids at play or rosy porkchops mumbo jumbo, everything feels fnafy and everything feels connected. It's great. I recommend going in spoiler free for these books.
