1. This book will be essential reading for students in the UK on Professional Policing degrees, but will no doubt find a more global market amongst students of policing, crime reduction and criminal justice given the author’s international profile.
2. While there are several books on the market looking at crime science and policing (notably ones in our Crime Science series) this is the first to offer an introduction to the core principles for policing students. Related titles on evidence-based policing are also generally pitched at a higher level (with the exception of our forthcoming title from Piza and Welsh).
