Christopher Nolan directs this action adventure reboot which explores the origins of the Dark Knight. In the wake of his parents´ murder, disillusioned industrial heir Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) travels the world seeking the means to fight injustice. After being trained as a member of the League of Shadows by Ducard (Liam Neeson) and Ra´s al Ghul (Ken Watanabe), Bruce returns home to Gotham and unveils his vigilante alter-ego: Batman, a masked crusader who uses his strength, intellect and an array of high-tech gadgets to fight the sinister forces that threaten the city. The cast also includes Michael Caine, Gary Oldman and Cillian Murphy.
