The new adaptation of "Wuthering Heights" has been heavily anticipated with its high-profile castings of stars Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi and with the provocative, deeply original filmmaker Emerald Fennell (Saltburn, Promising Young Woman) at its helm. Fennell radically reimaigned the original story for a contemporary take on love, lust, obsession, and the balance between men and women. At the center of the film are Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, portraying the iconic Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff. The narrative remains rooted in Emily Brontë’s enduring tale of obsessive love and generational trauma, set against the bleak, windswept Yorkshire moors.
