Hiroshige is one of the most important artists of Japanese woodblock prints and is known as the master of ukiyo-e, the "pictures of the floating world." His expressive interpretations primarily show landscapes and the capital of Edo, present-day Tokyo. Around 200 images allow the viewer to enter the Japanese world of the 19th century.
