Famous photographer, spy for the Soviet Union, and single mother – Edith Tudor-Hart led an eventful life. Born and raised in Vienna, she studied at the Bauhaus during the Weimar Republic. Later, she was arrested for communist activities and emigrated to England. There, she became known for her photographic social reportage and had close contact with Anna Freud, Donald Winnicott, and Kim Philby, among others. At the same time, she worked on behalf of the KGB and played a key role in recruiting the Cambridge Five, the most famous spy ring maintained by the Soviet Union in Great Britain.
