WE CARRIED OUT THE PEOPLE´S WILL

On 20 August 1991, the Supreme Council of the Republic of Estonia restored the national independence. The deputies who voted in favour of this numbered 69. This book records their names and faces, as they appear on photos of the time. We Carried out the People´s Will takes the reader on a journey through the long road to free-dom, reproducing the texts of the most significant Acts. A table shows how deputies of diffe-rent worldviews voted on these Acts. The book is generously illustrated with photographs that bring the last quarter century to life.
