Lucy Mason (Johnson) works at an exclusive matchmaking company in New York and has been responsible for nine marriages so far. Despite her professional success, she remains single. When she meets wealthy financier Harry Castillo (Pascal) and encounters her ex-boyfriend John Finch (Evans), still a struggling actor currently working as a waiter, on the same night, her romantic life is thrown into chaos.
