A new side-scrolling Mario adventure awaits in Story Mode, which features over 100 tracks. In addition to courses in the styles Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World and New Super Mario Bros. You can now also create courses in the style based on Super Mario 3D World. You can also play as Cat Mario and drive the Koopa Troopa car if you want.
All the themes from the first Super Mario Maker remain in this sequel. In addition, new ones have been added, such as desert, snow, forest and sky paths. For these themes, there is also new music created by the well-known composer Koji Kondo, who made music for the previous Super Mario games and many other games with Mario. There is also the opportunity to use a new and exciting moon to unlock nightly versions of these themes. When playing online, there are three different game modes for up to four players. These are:
Multiplayer Versus - Online mode where four players meet on a side-scrolling, randomly ѕelected course. The player who passes the course first wins.
Multiplayer Co-op - In this online mode, up to four players can work together to complete the course. It is enough for one player to complete the course for everyone to win.
Nearby Play - Up to four players each owning a Nintendo Switch and the game Super Mario Maker 2 can play this if they are close to each other. One of the players must set up a virtual room where everyone can play together. Only the person who sets up the virtual room must have an internet connection.
