Christopher Guest, Michael McKean and Harry Shearer star as members of the fictional British heavy metal band Spinal Tap in this mockumentary directed by Rob Reiner. As Spinal Tap embark on a tour of America to promote their new album ´Smell the Glove´, film-maker Marty DiBergi (Reiner) accompanies them to capture the experience. He explores their history, including the mysterious deaths of several of their previous drummers, but when the album fails to sell, tensions rise between the band and their manager. With the future of the tour - and the band - in jeopardy, an 18-inch statue of Stonehenge could determine their fate...
